The Spiritual Morsel
“The Spiritual Morsel”!
One will probably wonder what it is. It is a collection of notes of Cusmanian spirituality, a legacy that Father Giacomo Cusmano left to his children.
All these notes are presented as texts of meditation, so you should not look in them extracts of erudition, because most of these texts appear more mystical than rational.
The texts are distributed over a period of twelve months, each day of the month corresponding to a specific meditative thought, all being articulated on the charism, spirituality, apostolate and mission of the Servants of the Poor. The themes (main axes of meditation) are essentially and constantly taken up following the search for God’s will, total surrender to God, zeal for the salvation of souls, the sacramentality of the Poor, etc. And it is not necessary to provide a preliminary development, in order not to distort the very content of what is presented to us for reading and meditation. It is enough to approach the texts to become aware of the spirit that animated the Blessed Father Giacomo Cusmano, and of what he wanted to provide as a way for his spiritual children. It is up to you, who want to serve Jesus hidden in the Poor, to listen to what Father James says to those who want to go to his school.
